Durham is recruiting students for an exciting, fairly new 12 month Master in International Social and Community Development (MISWCD).
The MISWCD is a student-centred, 12 month programme based in the School of Applied Social Sciences. Its research-informed teaching offers students advanced level knowledge of social work and community development theory, methods and practices; and is supported by field-based learning within a community-based agency. Students are encouraged to examine their own practice and develop a critical understanding of global social issues and their impact on their own country and the UK. Students undertake empirical research and explore its relevance to policy and practice.
